Zhiwen Wearable Thermometer

Zhiwen

Zhiwen is a wearable thermometer designed for children. The design consists of a small patch and a pill-shaped main device that holds the patch. The patch measures 30 by 40 by 8 millimeters and is placed under the arm with a soft disposable adhesive. A temperature reading appears within five to ten seconds on the display of the main device or on a smartphone. Built-in humidity and air quality sensors also inform parents about allergens and toxins. The patch is water resistant and easy to clean. ABS, medical grade silicone and sheet metal are used for the housing.

Zhiwen Wearable Thermometer by Wei Gu, Di Wu has been featured as an outstanding illustration of product design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Zhiwen Wearable Thermometer won the Bronze A' Design Award in Wearable Technologies Design in 2020. The A' Wearable Technologies Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that rewards exceptional design of smartwatches, fitness trackers, VR headsets, AR glasses, medical devices, smart jewelry, body cameras, wearable computers and more.
